Pumpkins (2002) is a set of five porcelain sculptures by Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama, each representing her iconic pumpkin motif in a distinct colour and pattern.

The five pumpkins combine Kusama’s characteristic polka-dot vocabulary with variations in colour and surface treatment, creating a playful yet visually cohesive group. Presented together, the individual forms create a rhythmic composition while retaining the distinctive character of each pumpkin.

The pumpkin has been one of Kusama’s recurring motifs throughout her practice, appearing across sculpture, painting and other media. These porcelain multiples translate the motif into a compact three-dimensional form while preserving its instantly recognizable visual language.

Each pumpkin measures 9.8 × 11.5 × 11.5 cm and the set is produced in an edition of 100. The works are hand-signed and numbered by the artist.
