Los Angeles Invasion Guide (2018) extends Invader’s celebrated urban intervention project into the form of an artist’s book and sculptural object. Its cover is composed of micro mosaic tiles depicting one of the artist’s unmistakable pixelated figures against the red and white stripes associated with the United States.

The work connects directly to Invader’s ongoing “invasion” of cities around the world, in which mosaics inspired by early video-game graphics are installed throughout the urban landscape. Los Angeles has played an important role in this global project, becoming one of the cities mapped through the artist’s interventions.

Produced in a limited edition of 50, Los Angeles Invasion Guide transforms the documentation of these urban works into a collectible object in its own right. Each example is hand-signed by the artist.
