Inès (2026) captures one of the defining elements of Seny’s portraiture: the intensity of the human gaze.

The sitter looks directly at the viewer, her expression emerging through layers of spray paint, acrylic, pastel and oil. Bright turquoise, orange and yellow tones cut across the portrait, while the deep violet background heightens the presence of the face.

Painted on rusty metal, the work allows the raw surface to remain visible throughout the composition. Its oxidation, marks and irregularities interact with the painted layers, reflecting Seny’s interest in experimentation and materials associated with the urban environment.
