Top Dog (2020) presents one of Huang Yulong’s signature hooded figures seated quietly on a geometric base.
Created in porcelain and resin, the sculpture contrasts the delicacy and immaculate white surface of porcelain with the anonymous language of contemporary streetwear. The figure’s face is concealed beneath the hood, while its relaxed seated posture gives the work a quiet, contemplative presence.
