Atelier de Tracey Emin (2026) explores the intimate relationship between the artist, the studio and the act of creation.

The composition depicts a figure standing before a large canvas, absorbed in the physical process of making. Sweeping lines, traces of paint and areas of exposed material extend across the surface, giving the scene an immediate and unfinished quality that echoes the energy of a working studio.

Sébastien Bayet combines oil and acrylic with fabrics applied directly to the canvas, blurring the boundaries between painting and collage. The layered materials introduce texture and irregularity, transforming the surface into a record of gestures, fragments and accumulated traces.

Through this imagined encounter with Tracey Emin’s studio, Bayet reflects on artistic practice itself: the private space in which images, materials and gestures gradually become a work.
