Valérian Lenud (b. 1990), known as VALÉ, is a French contemporary street artist whose practice combines portraiture, stencil art and experiences gathered through his travels around the world. His works explore cultural identity and contemporary social issues through vivid colors, layered imagery and encounters with people and communities.

Portraiture lies at the center of VALÉ’s practice. Often inspired by people he meets while traveling, his works address themes including children’s rights, peace in conflict zones, environmental sustainability and the preservation of cultural heritage. Alongside his studio practice, he participates in public art and community projects that engage directly with local stories and environments.

VALÉ primarily works with spray paint and multiple layers of hand-cut stencils, which he combines with brushwork, palette knives and oil pastels. This process gives his portraits a distinctive balance between precise figurative imagery and the spontaneous energy of street art.

His work and public projects have been presented internationally across Europe, the Americas and Asia. Through both murals and studio works, VALÉ continues to use portraiture as a way of connecting individual stories with broader cultural, social and environmental concerns.
