Peace Soldier (2026) brings together childhood imagery and the visual codes of war in a composition built around a striking contradiction.

Two young figures dressed as soldiers sit beneath a large yellow peace symbol. While military clothing and equipment evoke conflict, details such as the colourful flowers, the childlike setting and the handwritten “MAKE ART NOT WAR” sign shift the work toward a message of peace and creativity.

Through this contrast, Valérian Lenud transforms familiar symbols of conflict into a playful yet thought-provoking image, using the visual language of street and contemporary art to explore the tension between violence, innocence and hope.
