Pimax is a French contemporary artist whose practice moves between street art, Pop Art and sculpture. Drawing on the visual language of popular culture, advertising and art history, he reinterprets familiar images and symbols through a playful yet critical approach.

Appropriation and transformation are central to his work. References to figures such as Andy Warhol and Robert Indiana appear alongside Pimax’s own visual vocabulary, while his sculptures and mixed-media works combine bold colors, recognizable forms and imagery rooted in contemporary urban culture.

A recurring figure in his work is Nourf, a character that has appeared both in the street and throughout his studio practice. Through Nourf, Pimax develops humorous and socially engaged narratives addressing everyday life, consumer culture and the transformations of the modern city.

His Impressionnourf series further brings these different influences together, revisiting the idea of observing everyday life through the lens of contemporary urban culture. Moving between interventions in public space and works created for galleries, Pimax maintains a practice closely connected to the visual rhythms and contradictions of the city.
